We take the structure down, load it out, and leave the ground clear.
When to Pull Down an Old Outbuilding
Rotting timber, rusted metal panels, and walls that lean are the usual signs a backyard structure is finished. A building in that shape is a hazard to anyone walking past it, and it only gets harder to take down the longer it stands.
People also call us when the shed is simply in the way: a new landscaping layout, a replacement building, or lawn they want back.

How We Look at the Site First
Before any panels come off, we check how the structure was put together and how close our truck can get. That tells us what has to come apart first and how far the materials have to travel.
We also confirm where any utility connections run before work starts.

Tear-Down, Loading, and Cleanup
The crew works in safety gear from start to finish. We take down the roof, walls, and frame in sections and load the materials and debris into our 13-foot box truck.
When the structure is on the truck, we sweep the cleared area. Magnetic sweeps and rakes go over the lawn and dirt to pick up loose fasteners, nails, and splinters, so nothing is left in the grass for a mower tire or a bare foot.
Permits and Utilities in Athens-Clarke County
Demolition of a structure cannot begin until a demolition permit is secured and the utilities are cut off and capped at the street. We don't start tearing anything down before that is settled.
If the property is a designated historic property, it also needs a certificate of appropriateness first. That approval can push back our start date, so mention a historic designation on your house or lot when you book.
What a Tear-Down Costs
Removing an 8x6 shed typically runs $150 to $500.
What moves a job within that range is the building's condition, how it was built, and how far we have to carry material to the truck.
What the Job Includes
For work like this, parts of it look like this:
- Dismantle the shed from the roof down.
- Sort shed materials on-site as the structure is dismantled.
