We do that work: sorting, lifting and hauling, until the rooms are empty.
When a Property Needs a Complete Clear-Out
The call usually comes when a home or garage is too full for a few trash bags to make a dent. Common reasons are settling a family property, getting a house ready to list, or starting repairs that can't begin while old furniture, boxes and stored paperwork fill the rooms.
Unlike pulling one couch off a porch, a clear-out means every item in the space gets looked at, and some of it needs your decision before it leaves.

How We Walk the Space Before We Start
We walk the property with you before we touch anything. You point out valuables and sensitive papers you want to review, and we flag anything that needs special handling so it doesn't end up in the wrong pile.
Then we lay floor runners along the main walking paths and put furniture sliders under dressers, desks and appliances, so heavy pieces slide out instead of getting dragged across your floors.

Room-by-Room Sorting and Removal
We work one room at a time instead of grabbing items at random. Within each room, belongings go into four groups: keep, donate, recycle and dispose.
Sorting this way means usable things go to people who can use them and recyclables don't get buried in a landfill load. You can also check a finished room before we move to the next one, so nothing you wanted gets surprised away.
What an Estate Cleanout Costs
Estate cleanouts nationally run from about $250 to $3,600. Call us and we can talk through a typical range over the phone; the exact figure gets set after we've walked the property.
Three things move the price: the volume of belongings, the layout of the rooms, and how much sorting the contents need. A cluttered garage and a full house with every closet packed are very different jobs, and the price reflects the labor and the loads.
If the Structure Is Coming Down Afterward
Some cleanouts are the first step before a teardown. A designated historic property also needs a certificate of appropriateness.
Our part is emptying the building so that work can start when the permits are in place.
A Few of the Specifics
In practice, the work covers:
- Use moving equipment and protective materials to move approved belongings through the property and load them for removal.
- Route donation-ready items to charities, recyclable materials to appropriate recycling, and remaining items to a transfer station or disposal facility.
