We haul with a box truck with a liftgate, so heavy pieces go up the ramp and onto the bed without a fight.
What Junk Removal Costs
A small load, about one-eighth of the truck, runs $70 to $100. That covers a modest pile of household items that is ready to go.
Furniture removal runs $70 to $350 per piece. A heavy piece that we have to take apart or strap down sits toward the top of that spread, and one that carries straight out sits toward the bottom. Describe what you have when you call and you'll get a typical range on the spot. The firm price is set once we've seen the job in person.

How We Load, and Why It Affects the Price
Volume on the truck is the first thing that sets the price. Labor is the second. When a bed frame, wardrobe or shelving unit won't fit through a doorway or down a hall, we take it apart and carry it out in pieces. Heavy items go out on dollies or straps and are loaded using the liftgate.
Once on the truck, dense debris goes low and near the axles to balance the load.

When the Job Includes a Tear-Down
If you are taking down a structure and not just clearing out loose items, Athens-Clarke County requires a demolition permit before work can begin. Utilities must also be cut off and capped at the street. Designated historic properties need a certificate of appropriateness on top of that.
Have those in place before the tear-down starts. Once the debris is on the ground, we can haul it.
